Thanks for the review! I agree with almost all your points, particularly that the humour should return to the Steve 1 and 2 style but with proper storylines. This doesn't mean the series needs to have pseudo-dramatic bits like in Steve 3 (which admittedly didn't work very well), but each episode - like the comics - should start immediately with a new crisis beginning and then follow Steve as he tries to sort things out. With that said, if I ever begin writing an episode and find that the story is plodding along and getting in the way of jokes, I'll completely alter it.

As for the voice actors, I think it's generally fine to get bit-parts done by people on the Internet as the quality doesn't need to be amazing or anything, even though I think ShockDingo and Raz did an excellent job in the most recent episode. In case you were wondering about why exactly I didn't give Sullivan any lines, it was simply because I haven't seen my brother Ollie (who plays Sullivan) very much in the last year, and everytime I did see him it kinda slipped my mind. The original script for Steve 3 started with a scene showing the drug-dealers kidnapping Sullivan from his house, and it was actually pretty funny. I unfortunately cut it because it was easier to do the episode without Sullivan saying anything, which in hindsight was a pretty weak excuse.

Finally, there are three main reasons I'm changing Jimmy's voice - first, the majority of people on Newgrounds seem to want a different actor. Second, I know that Kyle is going to do a good job voicing him. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, I simply never feel comfortable doing Jimmy's lines. I don't know if it's because I find doing the voice awkward or simply that it doesn't flow properly when you have to voice two characters having very dialogue-heavy conversations, but I think it's time to let someone else do the voice. If for whatever reason it doesn't work out with Kyle or people really don't like the change, I'll switch back to doing it myself.

So yeah, there you go. I appreciate you suggesting I should make Steve 4 at my own pace, but to be honest Steve 3 took so much longer than it should have done so I really need to push myself to animate more effectively. That obviously doesn't mean I should rush anything, but I think it's good to work at a consistent pace, first because it's good to be disciplined with something you care about, and second because I think a cartoon ends up better if you have a goal in mind at the start and can keep that in mind throughout the whole production. Seriously, by the time Steve 3 was finished I'd watched the first two scenes around 80 times and had completely lost the ability to see the cartoon objectively. Equally, by the time it was done I was so eager to just get it online that I didn't spend any time whatsoever looking back and seeing if anything needed changing.

With all the above said, keep in mind that I'm not going to animate a single thing until the script is completely finished and I'm really happy with it, plus I want to get all the voice-work done as soon as possible. It's a lot easier and certainly a lot more fun to animate something that already has a solid framework and is really fresh, and I think that was ultimately the problem with Steve 3 - the script wasn't finished or particularly amazing when I begun animating it, which caused all manner of problems later on.
